Ambassador – An accredited diplomat sent by a country as its official representative to a foreign country.
The picture above is of Chaplain Calebb Proehl presenting Dave Brubaker and me with a 3rd Special Forces flag he carried on his last deployment in honor of OR. This flag went with him as he traveled through several countries to see the Soldiers under his care. Calebb went to large military bases and small outposts with this flag, and it is humbling that he thought enough of our ministry to Soldiers to have planned something so meaningful.
However, as significant as that act was, it did not compare to his telling us about the reception he experienced from the Green Berets in his battalion. Calebb shared with us that at multiple stops he was greeted by men who had gone with him on OR events and that those stateside hunting and fishing trips paid massive relational dividends while he was on foreign soil.
Be encouraged that God used your investment in the work of OR to open doors for impactful service to Soldiers thousands of miles away from North Carolina. I’m grateful for your partnership.
