Our Mission

 

strengthening warriors

Operation Resolute provides opportunities for active duty military and their chaplains to come together in safe outdoor environments to help them decompress from the stresses of military life.

Operation Resolute partners with chaplains to host family retreats that are designed to address the unique needs of military life so that marriages are solid, parent/child relationships are positive and the overall family dynamic is healthy.

 

Serving Chaplains

Operation Resolute provides care to the “caregivers” who are on call 24/7. OR offers outdoor activities and family retreats that enable chaplains to spend time with their spouses and children in environments that foster deeper relationships.

“I have brought over 100 service members to Operation Resolute events. What is most impactful to me is that I can call any one of them right now and still have a deep and meaningful conversation. I’ve deployed with them, trained with them, baptized them and had lifelong connections with them. All because OR provided the opportunity. Oh, and don’t get me started on how OR has impacted my soul and wellbeing as a Chaplain. Without a doubt OR has kept me in the fight, holy and healthy. At Christ’s feast, at the end of all of this, there will be guys seated at the table in camo hats. When asked what happened to get them to Christ, they will say OR!”

What Sets Us Apart

 

OR’s ministry is unique because strong partnerships with chaplains ensure ongoing impact. OR helps chaplains accelerate relationship building, establish trust and address spiritual and emotional issues, including suicide ideation, marriage and family conflicts and PTSD.

Now that I have your attention, let me give some context regarding the title. The photo you see is of a Special Operations Soldier pulling in a marlin during OR’s annual offshore event out of Morehead City. You may be thinking he had a good day since he hooked a nice fish, but a lot of his time was spent hanging over the gunnels chumming the water. Seems his gut can handle parachuting out of planes but not sailing rolling seas.

Deep Gratitude

This Thanksgiving we would like to offer a special note of thanks to all who have volunteered their boat or property to serve our Nation’s Warriors. While we are grateful for the land in Hyde County, it takes additional space and resources to complete Operation Resolute’s mission. This year fifteen people volunteered boats for inshore fishing, nineteen people volunteered boats for offshore fishing and eight people offered hunts on their property, to include property in Georgia and South Texas.
