WHAT WE DO

Strengthen, support, & servE

Operation Resolute strengthens our nation’s warriors and their families by partnering with chaplains to host outdoor activities and family retreats that address the unique challenges of military life. These experiences provide active-duty service members, their families, and the chaplains who serve them with safe, restorative environments to decompress, build stronger marriages, deepen parent-child bonds, and foster healthy, resilient relationships.

Testimonials

Words can’t describe how much impact Operation Resolute brings to the teams. Especially for the members serving in the highly classified unit, OR’s events offer them not only a time to re-center themselves to what’s really important, but also provide opportunity to create meaningful connection to the leading chaplain. “This was a treat, and I can’t thank you enough, Chaps!” A service member who is a single parent, dealing with divorce and conflicts over multiple deployments, expressed his gratitude after one of the events.
— Chap. EK
Two significant moments occurred during the trip. First, one of my Soldiers confided in me for marriage help. It was through the excitement of his first hunt of the season and the “windshield time” we shared during the weekend that enabled him to share conflicts and challenges as well as hopes for his family. I felt God’s presence in the moment as he leaned on me for guidance and to have basic male fellowship. OR made this possible in a way that would have never been possible due to his job consuming most of the working day when we have interactions. Thank you!

A second element that was super impactful was the time the hunters spent in the deer stand. In the morning of the second day, I sent all of our hunters a short devotional on Signal group chat with the intentionality of asking them to reflect while on the hunt. The conversations we had about battle buddies and seeking support was incredible. The chat discussions we had , in our quiet deer stand, enabled such a rich environment of sharing faith and life.
— Chap. TD
Not only does OR minister to the chaplain’s flock, you have ministered to us. Many of you have ministered to me personally and I thank you. There are days when chaplains feel alone. Since I have known you, I have always felt that there were others who would shepherd the shepherds. You know as well as I do that ministry can be hard. Our peaks and valleys are high, and deep. So thank you for adding courage to my life in a way that emboldens me to continue to serve Christ in a sacrificial way. May we all have strength to carry on and not grow weary.
