“Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving;
let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!” Psalm 95:2
We have so much to be thankful for. I hear that statement often.
I must admit, I am not always the best at slowing down and
thinking – I mean really thinking – about all I have, all we have,
to be thankful for. I’ll keep this message short.
Here’s my Thanksgiving challenge to you. Put a piece of paper on the
fridge, and start to write down all that you are thankful for.
Have everyone in your home add to the list.
Share your “Thankfulness” over your meal today,
throughout this week, the following week, and the following.
You get the picture. Fill up the fridge with your thankfulness!
“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable,
whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely,
whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence,
if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me
—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.”
Philippians 4:8-9
